Our Team

Ross has many years of entrepreneurial experience starting, running, and exiting small businesses. Ross started his career optimizing operations at several high-tech manufacturing companies in Silicon Valley, including a thin-film solar manufacturer and electric vehicle startup. Prior to Heritage Holding, Ross founded Embrace Hearing, a hearing aid distribution company making hearing aids more affordable and accessible. Ross holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also has a BS and MS in mechanical engineering from Stanford University where he also played on the varsity soccer team.

Prior to Heritage Holding, Alex covered industrials as an analyst for Barclays’ investment bank and then moved on to become an account manager covering global institutional clients. Alex also has experience working at investment management firms in New York, Hong Kong and Switzerland. He has a strong track record leading teams and is extremely passionate about reorganizing companies to maximize profitability and future growth. Alex holds an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School and a BS in international affairs from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.

Prior to joining Heritage Holding as Operating Partner, and CEO of Data102, Adam worked for IBM as a server design engineer, and with Facebook on their data center operations team. Adam holds six patents pending and granted in the fields of signal processing, electronics, and photo recognition. Adam graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with a BS in Computer Engineering and a BS in Electrical Engineering and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

As Principal at Heritage Holding, Josh oversees portfolio company integration and operations and works on strategic acquisitions. Prior to Heritage, Josh was Chief of Staff at Utility Cloud, where he led finance, human resources, revenue operations and strategic projects and helped lead the company to a successful exit. Josh also has experience in operational roles in the executive office of the MBTA, as a consultant to private equity clients, and as a former intern at Heritage Holding. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in History and Government from Dartmouth College.

Before Heritage Holding, Cliff worked in corporate strategy, equity research, and capital markets. Cliff started his career at M&T Bank, where he worked with business owners to manage their interest rate risk. After M&T, Cliff was an equity research associate for FBR & Co. in Washington, DC. In this role, he was responsible for conducting onsite diligence and publishing investment research reports on publicly traded Consumer Products companies. Now, at Heritage Holding, Cliff's work concentrates on portfolio company operations and sourcing, with a particular focus on Heritage's diagnostic testing lab platform.

At Heritage Holding, Lauren oversees deal execution, due diligence, and growth strategy for portfolio companies and strategic acquisitions. Prior to Heritage, Lauren was at middle market private equity firms, BV Investment Partners and Audax Private Equity, where she led the execution of over 50 acquisitions, sat on the board of 11 portfolio companies, and successfully exited 6 investments. She has spent time investing in the essential services, distribution, renewable energy, healthcare, and technology industries. Lauren holds a B.S.E. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University. In her free time, Lauren travels and has been to all 50 U.S. states, all 63 U.S. National Parks, and 6 continents with just Australia remaining.

At Heritage, Caleb focuses on acquisition execution, overseeing portfolio company integration, and managing business owner relationships. Prior to Heritage, Caleb developed a skill set in small business mergers & acquisitions, operations projects, and growth planning through his work at 93North Capital, American Dental Partners, and as a former intern with Heritage. Additionally, he has experience in strategy consulting. Caleb holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He also has a BS and MS in chemical engineering from Northeastern University where he went from an unrecruited walk-on to a captain of the varsity basketball team.

Matt is a Vice President at Heritage Holding, bringing investing experience in small businesses. Prior to Heritage, Matt interned at CVF Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm, as well as Long Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund. Matt also gained experience working on his family-owned winery in northern California. Matt holds a BA in Economics with a language citation in Spanish from Harvard College, where he was Captain of the varsity soccer team.

Harry Ashvinkumar Patel is a Senior Associate at Heritage Holding. At Heritage, Harry is focused on deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio company support. Prior to Heritage, Harry was a Investment Banking Analyst at Equiteq, working on M&A deals for Software and Technology-Enabled Services companies. Before joining Equiteq, he was a Valuation and Modeling Analyst at Deloitte. Harry holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University. Outside of work, Harry enjoys traveling and supporting his favorite sport teams: Boston Celtics, Indian Cricket Team, New England Patriots, Optic Gaming.

At Heritage, Ariana is focused on deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio company operations. Prior to Heritage, Ariana was a research fellow at the National Cancer Institute, managing and operating multiple clinical trials from protocol design through study implementation. She completed the Tuck Business Bridge program at Dartmouth where she learned essential business skills. Ariana holds a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in American Culture Studies and Pre-Med Studies, where she graduated with College Honors. Outside of work, Ariana enjoys traveling, cooking, and skiing.‍

Gurkaran is an Associate at Heritage Holding, where he focuses on deal origination, deal execution, due diligence, and portfolio company operations. He began his time at Heritage as an intern, concentrating on expanding the firm's ISP platform and conducting diligence on potential investments. Prior to joining Heritage, Gurkaran was a Supply Chain Manager at JMT Petroleum, where he oversaw operations and logistics across 15 locations and led post-acquisition integration efforts. He holds an MBA from Boston University and a BBA from Gonzaga University, with concentrations in Finance and Law & Public Policy. Outside of work, Gurkaran enjoys playing tennis, staying active, and reading the Morning Brew newsletter.

Akshaj (AJ) Mishra is an associate at Heritage Holding. At Heritage, AJ is focused on due diligence and portfolio company support. Prior to Heritage, AJ interned at Paine Schwartz Partners, Moon Capital, and Inspired Capital. Previously, he founded and scaled a grocery delivery startup in the Midwest. AJ holds a BA in Economics and a BA in History & Environmental Data Science from Harvard University. Outside of work, AJ enjoys traveling in a self-converted van, renovating old homes, and agricultural pursuits.

Sam is an Associate at Heritage Holding, focusing on deal origination, due diligence, and portfolio company operations. Prior to Heritage, Sam worked at Glass Lake Holdings, a lower middle market private equity firm, as well as Lux Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund. Sam also gained experience working at Unqork, an enterprise software startup based in New York City. Sam holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where he concentrated in Business Management and Analytics. Outside of work, Sam enjoys running, playing tennis, and going to NYC comedy clubs.

At Heritage, Robert is focused on financial due diligence. Robert began his career in finance at PwC and then pivoted into FP&A at a Fortune 50 company. Robert is also a founder of Azul Consulting, a financial advisory firm specializing in optimizing financial operations, advising clients through acquisitions, and providing other CFO services. Robert holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from BYU and is currently pursuing his MBA part-time at Indiana University, where he is President of the Consulting Association. Outside of work, Robert leads an active lifestyle, finding joy in football, golf, and mountain biking. He also has a flair for creativity, indulging in writing and mastering the art of cooking Mexican and Italian cuisine.
